About Me
As an artist, I find my calling in capturing the beauty and mystery that often lie hidden in old buildings, lighthouses, and ruins. My journey extends from travel photography to abstract compositions, all brought together by a common thread: moody, serene imagery. Each photograph represents a fusion of moments curated through the camera lens, then meticulously developed in Lightroom and Photoshop to bring my vision to life.
The selection of my subject matter is deeply influenced by the allure of moody scenes and textures. The rugged wear of an ancient building, the untold stories of an abandoned lighthouse, and the enigmatic beauty of a ruinous site all captivate my imagination. ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) photography allows me to experiment and push the boundaries of conventional photography. While it often yields few successful images, those rare gems that resonate with me undergo a further transformative process in post-production.
What draws me toward a particular scene is its intrinsic beauty and innate moodiness. I am inspired by dark skies, the drama of heavy, billowy clouds, and the overall ambiance that evokes an emotional response. This fascination with atmosphere and texture drives me to explore and capture locations that embody these qualities.
Although I find it difficult to pinpoint a single source of inspiration, my creative process is deeply rooted in a continual quest for knowledge and the influences of other photographers. I immerse myself in literature about various photographic techniques and styles, seeking out inspirations that align with my artistic vision.
My technique is characterized by the use of various filters to achieve long exposure photographs, enhancing the mysterious and serene qualities of the scenes I capture. This meticulous approach, coupled with my dedicated post-processing work, is what sets my art apart. Each image is a testament to my passion for uncovering and enhancing the hidden depths of the world around us.
